Business Peak District Board vacancy opportunity

Business Peak District is currently looking to fill vacancies on its Board and is inviting any member of Business Peak District to contact the organisation and express an interest in joining the Board.

Its current Board representation is drawn from a wide range of business sizes and sectors. Business Peak District is keen to hear from individuals who have the right skills and experience and would like to be considered for a position on the Board.

It is particularly looking for business representation from the tourism, mining, quarrying and minerals, and manufacturing sectors, and from those with experience of developing business sites and premises within the Peak District.

If you wish to be considered, please send a short paragraph (no more than 100 words) about yourself, including the contribution you feel you could make, to giles.dann@derbyshiredales.gov.uk by noon on 9 February 2020.

Board members are required to attend at least four board meetings per year, contribute time and expertise to ‘championing’ key issues and initiatives in the area and support local businesses through taking part in Peak District business events.

New nominations will be shortlisted by the current Chair and Vice Chair and appointments made (initially for a one year term) at the AGM to be held on Thursday 20 February at the New Bath Hotel, Matlock Bath, starting at 3pm.

The AGM will be followed by the Annual Business Peak District Conference.
