Pochin comes to Derby in another coup for Eagle Park

Historic plumbing and heating supplier Pochin has moved to Derby’s Eagle Park in a deal brokered by Salloway Property Consultants

The 157-year-old company began intensive expansion in 2014 and has doubled its turnover in five years.

The Leicester-based firm has trade and retail arms across the Midlands.

Its Eagle Park branch has a full range of plumbing and heating supplies, toilet spares, as well as hand tools, power tools with accessories, fixings and work-wear.

Hugo Beresford, surveyor at Salloway Property Consultants said: “This is a 3,350 square-feet building and we are delighted that Pochin has taken a ten-year lease.

“It is another coup for Eagle Park which has attracted Davis Derby, Greggs, Howden’s, Screwfix, French company Dedienne and EMC Tiles. This is one of the most successful commercial property sites in the East Midlands.”

The former Draka site was purchased by Ivygrove in 2014.

Salloway Property Consultants Managing Director, Stephen Salloway said: “When Draka left with the loss of hundreds of jobs, Ivygrove took the rare risk of building speculatively.

"Eagle Park has been successful because of Ivygrove’s flexibility and its excellent location and I am delighted that we, at Salloway Property Consultants, have been able to play a part in selling and leasing to some high-quality businesses."
