Three new stores to open at East Midlands Designer Outlet

Three new stores are set to open at East Midlands Designer Outlet as the shopping centre confounds the global retail industry’s Covid-19 problems to prosper.

Barbour, Under Armour and Molton Brown are the latest brands to join the McArthurGlen-owned centre, located off Junction 28 of the M1 in South Normanton.

They will join more than 60 existing stores, including Levi’s, Nike and Lindt, offering discounts of up to 60% compared to high street prices.

Centre manager David Jackson said: “In the current climate, we’re thrilled to be welcoming three prestigious new stores to the centre.

“All three brand partners have a unique product offering and an established reputation, which will attract guests.

“We are committed to growing our retail offering and will continue to offer exciting brands to our loyal guests to further elevate the premium fashion and lifestyle choices available.”

When will Barbour, Molton Brown and Under Armour stores open at East Midlands Designer Outlet?

Fashion brand Barbour will open it store on Friday 28 August, followed by London-based fragrance, bath and body specialist Molton Brown in September.

Sportswear brand Under Armour will open its doors later in the autumn.

East Midlands Designer Outlet, a member of the Chamber, is operating Covid-safe procedures including social distancing floor markers, providing hand sanitiser stations across the site, requiring visitors to wear face masks in stores and recommending them while in the centre, and using contactless payments.

Throughout August, its food and drink outlets Wagamama, 200 Degrees Coffee, Pizza Express and Starbucks have participated in the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme, offering 50% off meals and certain drinks from Monday to Wednesday.
