East Midlands Chamber members offered free use of Jisp all-in-one shopping app

An app that enables contact-free shopping has made two key services available for free to all East Midlands Chamber members during the pandemic.

Technology company Jisp has partnered with the Chamber to offer its best-in-class home delivery and click & collect services to the business organisation’s 4,300 members for six months, allowing businesses to support their customers and communities at a critical time.

Businesses that take up the promotion can create their accounts - which carries a one-off activation fee, depending on the package they choose - and begin trading via the Jisp app within an hour, taking advantage of features such as instant deals, custom discount vouchers, product sharing and live community quizzes.

Julian Fisher, CEO and founder of Jisp, said: “We are delighted to partner with the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.

“Our contact-free solutions have proven to be invaluable in the past six months, and, as we are about to enter the second lockdown, we can continue empowering independent retailers in supporting their local communities, for free.”

How Jisp app works for businesses and shoppers

The award-winning company, based in Alton, Hampshire, says it is the first UK company to remove the need for tills through the introduction of a contact-free shopping platform, using NFC technology and barcode scanning.

Shoppers receive instant product information, including allergens and reviews, and can pay securely via the app from anywhere, negating the queues.

The app will list individual businesses that have signed up and display their products, allowing customers to place orders for delivery or in-store collection. They can then checkout securely using their mobile phones.

East Midlands Chamber chief executive Scott Knowles said: “The Chamber is delighted to have formed a partnership with e-commerce platform Jisp.

"At a time when businesses are looking to continue trading and find cost-effective, reliable and versatile solutions, Jisp offers an innovative platform for achieving all these things.

"We are grateful to Jisp for creating an exclusive offer to our members that will help them to continue trading during the national lockdown."

Jisp is also set to sponsor the Chamber’s Derbyshire Business Awards 2020, which takes place on 3 December, in the Small Business of the Year category.
