Getting started with strategy - lean or traditional: explore two clear approaches that businesses can utilise in strategy and planning
This interactive webinar will explore two clear approaches that businesses can consider around strategy and planning and provide insights into how to apply them. The classic way of starting or growing a business involves writing a business plan. That may still be appropriate and has significant benefits for leaders and managers as they go through the planning process.
The lean approach has grown into a simple and accessible set of principles and tools that can inform strategy and achieve results in a fraction of the time of the classic approach with less risk and with better results, in certain circumstances.
This webinar will provoke participants to consider the options they have to develop their strategic thinking.
We will cover:
- The classic business planning approach
- Lean start-up thinking and the principles, tools, and techniques that support it and how these apply to an existing business
- Examples of both approaches in action and insights into appropriate use for both
- The implications of the different approaches
Who Should Attend?
Business owners, managers or leaders who wish to consider alternative approaches to strategy and business planning and ways of turning their strategic thinking into action. This webinar is aimed at SMEs.
Please note that preference will be given to businesses based in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for this webinar.
