East Midlands Accelerator Supporting Growth

Digital Transformation Accelerator

One of the five strands of the East Midlands Accelerator project is the Digital Transformation Accelerator.

The Digital Transformation Accelerator will help you:

  • gain new or enhance existing digital skills;
  • make the switch from manual to digital processes; and
  • increase long-term productivity and efficiency.

Only businesses based in areas selected by Government for UK Community Renewal Fund* support are eligible to apply. In the East Midlands, these are: Derbyshire Dales; High Peak; Mansfield; Bassetlaw; Newark & Sherwood; Nottingham City; and Leicester City.

Support on offer

Digital Transformation Accelerator activity is being delivered by a number of partners across the East Midlands, including the University of Derby, Marketing Peak District and Derbyshire, De Montfort University, the University of Leicester and Loughborough University.

There are a number of ways you can benefit, including taking advantage of one-to-one advice, mentoring and business diagnostics, as well as the opportunity to join training courses.

Support includes:

  • 6-week and 12-week graduate and postgraduate placements for businesses seeking to employ a graduate for a Digital role. Contact De Montfort University to find out more.
  • Expert advice for digital innovation (in the form of one-to-one support and interactive workshops) to help you understand what digital innovation looks like in different businesses and how you could access funding to make it happen. Visit the Digital Innovation and Adoption pages of the University of Derby’s website to register your interest.
  • One-day skills workshops on topics such as Relational Database Fundamentals, Data Visualizations, Data Modelling, Excel Data Insights and Cyber Hygiene. Visit the Business Support pages of De Montfort University’s website to book your place. (City of Leicester businesses only.)
