Join us for an interactive Mock Employment Tribunal in partnership with BRM Solicitors , where we bring a case scenario to life.

This session will deal with a claim where the decision to dismiss is being challenged as being outside of the band of reasonable responses open to an employer in the circumstances –one of the most common claims brought by former employees.

Overview

We’ll explore the facts leading up to the employer’s decision to dismiss, the evidential issues that arise during the disciplinary process and the employee’s health after termination of employment. We’ll also consider whether the employer’s decision to dismiss was fair and reasonable in the circumstances, or whether another disciplinary outcome was more appropriate.

As part of the hearing, the Tribunal will hear arguments and evidence on both liability and remedy before the Judge gives their judgment.

With claims for unfair dismissal expected to increase with the implementation of the Employment Rights Act 2025 (ERA 2025), our Mock Employment Tribunal will help you to prepare for any challenges as a result of the ERA 2025.

We will explore how an employer can act reasonably when considering the termination of employment and what matters an Employment Tribunal Judge will take into account when assessing the reasonableness of a decision and remedy – all of which will continue to apply after the ERA 2025 changes.
