Mark has worked within the property sector for over twenty-five years having trained as a chartered quantity surveyor and project manager.
He has sat on the cost management main board for almost ten years and is the Director responsible for the East Midlands. He also holds a regional role across the wider Midlands operating from a base in Nottingham. He has been a director of Turner & Townsend for nearly fifteen years.
Mark sits as a council member of Nottingham City Business Club, after a successful years as President in 2017/18.
Mark previously chaired the Property Forum for Sheffield City Region's Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) whilst leading the Sheffield office of Turner & Townsend. He takes an active role in leading on physical local development, regeneration and people development. Within the last few years he has been involved with large scale developments including the revitalisation of a former coking works in Derbyshire which was dubbed as one of the worst contaminated sites in Western Europe.
Mark lives in Dronfield Woodhouse. He is married and seems to spend most of his 'spare time' ferrying his two daughters around dance competitions with the odd game of golf and cycling to keep fit. Each year Mark takes part in a challenge in support of local and national charities which generally involves an endurance test suchas coast to coast cycling and kayaking around the UK's three largest lakes.
