The East Midlands Chamber invites members to join a focused Cyber Local Midlands Business Roundtable, bringing together local businesses and cyber security experts to explore the most pressing digital security challenges facing organisations across the Midlands.
This interactive session is designed to encourage open discussion, peer learning, and practical insight, helping businesses better understand cyber risks and strengthen their resilience in an increasingly complex digital landscape

A small group of cyber security specialists will be on hand to answer questions, discuss real world challenges, and help shape practical next steps for improving local cyber resilience.
Feedback from this roundtable will directly inform the development of a new series of short videos featuring cyber security experts, designed to support and inform businesses across the region.
On the day we will be joined by a guest speaker - Lee Johnson – Chief Technology Officer, Air IT Group.
Lee leads the company’s technical and cyber security strategy. With 19 year experience, Lee has played a key role in strengthening Air IT’s technical capabilities and driving innovation since joining the business in 2019.
He is also Managing Director of Air Sec, Air IT’s specialist cyber security division, delivering proactive, high value security solutions that help organisations protect their systems, data and long term success. Lee is passionate about robust security, operational excellence and forward thinking technical leadership.
We will also be joined by Simon Shiu, Professor of Practice in Cyber Security, University of Bristol.
After a career in industrial research Simon joined the University of Bristol to focus on cyber innovation. Recently he led the UK Cyber Growth Action Plan*. This plan drew on consultation with nearly 100 stakeholders across the cyber ecosystem, including startup founders, technologists, CISOs, researchers, investors, regional leaders, and government representatives.
Simon is also on the advisory board for the Research Institute for Sociotechnical Cyber Security (RISCS).
