This workshop will be delivered by Laura Bond, Keith Burgess and Rob Wapshott from the University of Nottingham.
Dr Laura Bond
Laura is Professor of Practice in Entrepreneurship, Sustainability and Innovation. With a background in science-based innovation and venture building (former roles at IP Group plc and Walgreens Boots Alliance), Laura supports business growth through executive education, mentoring, and investment. She contributes to programmes like “Help to Grow: Management”, works as Entrepreneur in Residence at the school’s innovation centre, and is active as a non-executive director and angel investor.
Prof Keith Burgess
Keith is Professor of Practice with MEng, MBA and has Chartered Management Consultant status. He combines his extensive IBM leadership-development experience with roles at NUBS, including MBA Accelerator skills development, consulting and project-management course design, and mentoring within the Ingenuity Lab. Keith's expertise spans across management consulting, leadership and project management.
Dr Rob Wapshott
Robert is associate Professor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation and teaches across Undergraduate, Masters, MBA and Doctoral programmes, applying theory to practice. Robert's work supports SME leader development and high-growth businesses across the region. His research focuses on small business management, entrepreneurship, policy support and employment relationships.
Eligibility:
This workshop is open to eligible high growth businesses located in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire that can demonstrate 20% annual growth in revenue, employment, or market share over the past three consecutive years.
You must be registered on the High Growth Accelerator project.
Receipt of this support is subject to the Subsidy Control Act (2022). To qualify an enterprise cannot have received more than £315,000 Minimal Financial Assistance (MFA) and or De Minimis within any three-year period.
The project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
