The newly formatted Members Forum aims to enable broader participation, stronger discussion, and provides feedback from Members, enabling more robust evidence-based insight and supporting the Chamber’s Framework for Growth campaign.

The Forums will retain flexibility to deliver county-specific member forums where appropriate and will aim to:

- Engage East Midlands Chamber members directly in policy development
- Generate evidence-based insight to inform lobbying and advocacy to deliver against the business plan
- Support the Framework for Growth campaign by testing, refining and amplifying its core themes
- Strengthen the Chamber’s role as the convenor of the business voice, in turn amplifying the regional business community’s voice.

Each forum will focus on one of the core themes set out in the Framework for Growth*

Overview

Agenda for the session:

- Welcome & scene-setting - Chair - Stuart Dawkins, East Midlands Chamber (5mins)
- Insight briefing, including the latest QES results (15 mins)
- Member roundtable discussion (30 mins)
Guided discussion around:
* What’s working / not working
* Real-world barriers to growth
* Practical policy fixes

- Policy messages & next steps (10 mins)

Outcome

Each Forum aims to reinforce the Chamber as the trusted bridge between business and policy in the East Midlands and feeds into:

- Policy positions
- Consultation responses
- MP / Ministerial briefings
- Media commentary
- Local and national advocacy
