Day 1: Tuesday 24th February 2026

Day 2: Wednesday 25th February 2026

Day 3: Wednesday 11th March 2026

Day 4: Wednesday 18th March 2026 (10am-12pm) online assessment session

The content for this course is split into 12 sections in order to provide a thorough overview of project management in addition to aligning to the Association for Project Management’s Body of Knowledge. The details of these sections are listed in the programme overview.

Through the delivery of this course, participants will secure knowledge of the theory behind effective project management in addition to experience of applying and testing the tools used in project delivery.

This latter element is designed to be undertaken in a critically reflective way to ensure that there is a clear understanding of why tools and models are used and how these can be adapted to suit the specific needs of the project to be delivered.

Additional Information

This course is accredited, gaining 20 credits at Level 5 when the assignment is completed and passed.

During delivery of the course, participants will work in small teams to apply the tools taught to a given project in order to build the knowledge and skills required to propose and initiate a project. This will be accompanied by a clear understanding of how projects should be delivered and managed once underway.

The assessment will build from the group work whereby participants will undertake an individual assessment, based on the skills they have developed in the group work, by applying the tools and their knowledge acquired to a project of their choosing.

The course will be delivered over 3 full days of learning and 1 online assessment workshop. The Assessment hand in date is Friday 1 August 2025.
