Description

Accredited by Mental Health First Aid England, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to confidently support mental health in the workplace and effectively guide a person towards the right mental health support.

Overview

This course covers:

* Understanding mental health and the factors that can affect people’s wellbeing, including your own
* Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
* Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
* Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
* Helping someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support
* Understanding how to keep yourself safe while performing your duties

What outcomes can you expect from joining us

This one-day course trains you as an MHFA Champion, giving you:

* An understanding of common mental health issues
* Knowledge and confidence to advocate for mental health awareness
* Ability to spot signs of mental ill health
* Skills to support positive wellbeing

Annie Litchfield - Loates Workplace Wellbeing

Annie is a CIPD accredited learning and development specialist, and an MHFA England accredited mental health first aid instructor.

A certificate of attendance to say you are an MHFA First Aider
A manual to refer to whenever you need it
A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan
A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health
Access to the The MHFAider Support App is designed to support trained MHFAiders in their role.
