AF International donation assists Barnardo’s services to deliver support safely

AF International, part of the HK Wentworth Group, has continued its 12-year charitable partnership with Barnardo’s by donating a batch of anti-bacterial products to help the charity deliver crucial services safely.

The Ashby de la Zouch-based company has manufactured industry-leading, specialist cleaning and sanitising products for over 50 years.

Donating sanitising products, including anti-bacterial hand gels and screen wipes, AF International has empowered both Barnardo’s staff and service users to act with confidence in an uncertain time.

Barnados children's services manager Jane Richardson said: “We received packs of wipes from AF International who have kindly supported our CareFree Young Carers service in Leicestershire for several years, for which we are extremely grateful. The donation of wipes has come in incredibly handy in helping us to continue providing our services to young carers, and ensuring the safety of our service users and project workers.”

Thanking AF for the donation, Barnardo’s added that the donations ‘enable vulnerable children, young people and families to access our services in line with the government guidance.’

Barnardo’s helps protect, support, and nurture thousands of the UK’s most vulnerable children, young people, and families every single year.

AF International European brand director Paul Hardy said: “We’ve worked with Barnardo’s for over 12 years now; a partnership we’re proud of due to the brilliant work they do, not just in Leicestershire but up and down the UK.

"It has been a tough year for most of us, but charities have been hit particularly hard. Charities like Barnardo’s are the bedrock of our community, so we’re more than happy to equip them with the means to continue their work safely.

“We look forward to working with Barnardo’s for many more years to come."
