Key promotions at Purpose Media
Two key members of the team at Derbyshire-based full-service digital marketing agency Purpose Media have been promoted.
Liam Brown is the new head of business development, while Rachel Gascoigne has taken on the role of head of copy. The appointments reflect the level of commitment each has shown over recent months and are part of a plan to adapt team structures to meet the rising demand for digital marketing solutions.
Liam joined Purpose Media, based in South Normanton, in 2018 from consumer credit giant Experian. His role involves identifying opportunities with businesses that are looking to improve their online marketing performance by developing their website SEO, improving their brand messaging and by using tools such as social media, email marketing and other digital platforms such as pay-per-click.
Commenting on his promotion, Liam said: “When I started working at Purpose Media, it was clear this is a company that rewards hard work and encourages people to try new ideas. My promotion means I can be much more proactive supporting the needs of businesses looking for a marketing partner that is committed to delivering a return on investment.”
Rachel joined the company in 2017 from marketing agency StrawberryToo, where she was a copywriter. She also has previous experience from companies such as LadBible, which owned Pretty52. Rachel’s new role means she will be leading a team which creates engaging content that maximises the chances of it being found when people search for solutions on the internet and motivates customers to take action.
Rachel added: “I’ve learned so much since I joined Purpose Media, and it’s always been my goal to soak up as much knowledge as possible in order to progress further in my career. I am looking forward to helping to
expand our skill base and widening our approach to support other content strategies such as digital PR.”
Managing director Matt Wheatcroft said: “Liam and Rachel have contributed some brilliant work over the last year. They’ve adapted quickly to the challenges our business has faced and have contributed many new ideas and processes to ensure our customers receive a great service and get value for money.”
