HTC Associates welcomes change and development

Co-founder of Derbyshire-based insurance brokers HTC Associates is retiring following 20 years at the helm.

David Tucker and Justin Conroy founded the firm in 2004, which was later aquired by the insurance broking company the Jensten Group last year.

David is now retiring, while Justin continues to manage the business - and the professional indemnity department will be headed up by Richard Lacey.

Established to protect the interests of SMEs based in Derbyshire, HTC has built a reputation of straight-talking advice across a wide range of commercial and personal insurance policies, and now employs a team of 13.

David said: “I’m really proud of what we have achieved here. We have built a solid business based on strong principles of quality service that supports not only our local community but professional clients across the country. I know with Justin driving the business, coupled with Jensten’s support, the business will continue to thrive."

Jensten’s resources and financial strength will enable Justin and the team to expand their operations further, starting with a national marketing and advertising campaign for professional indemnity insurance. Alongside this, the company is planning a new website and refresh of its brand image.

HTC has also welcomed new apprentice Gabriel Rodgers, following past apprentice Sam Haslam's appointment to a full-time member of staff.

Justin said: “In the same way that we support local businesses, HTC also believe in supporting young, local talent to build a career through our apprenticeship programme, which is run in conjunction with Babington College. We’ve seen excellent results in the past and expect Gabriel will do the same."
