Key4Life
Our mission is to reduce youth re-offending and prevent crime through the delivery of an innovative 7-Step Rehabilitation Programme for those in prison and those at risk of incarceration.
With an initial focus on unlocking pain and building resilience, the Key4Life programme brings a strong emphasis on Mentoring and Employability training to prepare the men for the world of work.
Why this matters:
• Our prison system is in crisis – reoffending costs the UK government over £18 Billion annually
• Employment is the game-changer. Our results speak for themselves:
8% reoffending vs over 50% nationally
62% into work vs 17% nationally
As the UK’s precariously crammed prisons spawn more crime and violence – new research from London Metropolitan University shows that Key4Life’s 7-Step Rehabilitation Model delivers real transformation and safer prisons – and calls for it to be scaled nationwide.
Natasha Du Rose who led the London Met research says: “The Key4Life programme addresses the Government’s identified urgent priorities: safer prisons, reduced reoffending, employment pathways, and rehabilitation that creates better citizens, not better criminals. The evidence is compelling. The need is urgent. The opportunity is now. With appropriate investment and political will, Key4Life can be scaled nationally to transform lives, reduce harm, and deliver value for money.”
