ATA Carnets

Are you exhibiting at a trade fair this year? Taking professional or sporting equipment out of the UK on a temporary basis? Or temporarily taking commercial samples overseas?

If the answer to any of these is ‘yes’, then you may need a special international customs document which is called an ATA Carnet.

SUPPORTING BUSINESS

Simplifying Customs formalities and reducing the amount of paperwork

By using an ATA Carnet to temporarily import your goods into other countries, you can avoid paying import duties and taxes on those goods. This is because an ATA Carnet acts as a ‘guarantee’ to foreign countries/territories that all goods will be re-exported within a certain time frame.
