A few things you might want to know

A customs declaration (or C88 SAD) is the paperwork that is required to get goods through customs. Previously goods that moved around the EU did not require a customs declaration due to free movement of goods. Since 1 January 2021 a customs declaration is required for all EU Imports and Exports. Click here for more information.

The UK General Tariff (UKGT) which has been applied to imported goods since 1 January 2021. This new tariff has replaced the EU’s current Common External Tariff and will apply to the vast majority of imports into the UK. In particular, it will apply to imports from the EU which have previously been tariff free. Find out more here.
