Delivered in partnership with Derbyshire County Council and the University of Derby, the conference aims to support growth and resilience within the Advanced Manufacturing sector in Derbyshire County.

On the day there be a range of content which aims to support businesses to explore and gain new supplychain opportunities and to explore the benefits of Apprenticeships for attracting and retaining talent, supporting employment opportunities for the Community.

The Conference also brings together the business community and young people as part of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Manufacturing) initiatives delivered by the Derbyshire Makes project and delivered as part of the 2026 Derbyshire Makes Festival.

If you want to explore new opportunities, develop your ability to access new supply chains, to understand how apprenticeships can support your business growth, resilience and CSR, this event is for you!

On the day there will be a range if insightful presentations, exhibitors providing business support and a great opportunity to network with like-minded businesses.

- Supply chain Opportunities in the UK’s Developing Nuclear Capabilities - Andrew Storer, CEO & Founder of NucCol (Nuclear Collaboration Ltd)

The nuclear supply chain the East Midlands is undergoing a major expansion, driven by its history in advanced manufacturing and its role in the UK’s next-generation nuclear projects, such as Small Modular Reactors and Fusion. NucCol are dedicated to advancing the UK’s nuclear manufacturing capabilities, who will detail the potential range of opportunities and routes to engage in the nuclear supply chain.
