Amy Hallam
Amy is the Director and Head of our Employment Law team at BRM - Qualifying as a solicitor in 2002, she has practised employment law for over 25 years, joining BRM in 2006 and becoming a Director in April 2014 - Amy advises employers of varying sizes and industries (including Local Authorities) nationally in all aspects of employment law and HR – as well as overseeing BRM’s successful annual retainer scheme, Employment Law Service Scheme (‘ELSS’), which has been running since 2004 - Alongside the Employment Law team, she represents clients in ACAS conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims. This has involved both successfully defending claims and recovering costs in appropriate cases. The team regularly advise businesses in relation to employee exits, including settlement agreement negotiations - The team also assist employees with settlement agreement advice and in ACAS conciliation/Employment Tribunal claims, often through legal expenses insurance funding - Amy has specialist knowledge of care industry businesses (including CQC) which can often include complex advice.
