New EU Battery Passport requirements are approaching – but does your business actually need to do anything?
From 18 February 2027, Battery Passport requirements will apply to specified categories of batteries placed on the EU market or put into service within the EU.
For UK businesses, this is already raising some important questions:
Does the requirement apply to the batteries we manufacture, buy, supply or use?
We don’t sell batteries – could we still be affected?
What if batteries are contained within our equipment or products?
Could UK businesses supplying into the EU or Northern Ireland be affected?
Is the manufacturer responsible – or could the obligation sit with us?
What information should we be asking our suppliers for now?
Is the Battery Passport connected to dangerous goods transport requirements?

This practical one-hour webinar is designed to help businesses start answering those questions and understand what the forthcoming requirements could mean for their organisation.
The session will explain the Battery Passport requirements in practical terms, help delegates understand where their organisation may fit and identify the information they should begin gathering.
February 2027 may sound some way off, but businesses may need time to identify affected batteries, engage with suppliers and establish where responsibilities sit.
