Description
EU CBAM Advanced Masterclass – Preparing Your Business for Compliance
The EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is rapidly changing how businesses trade with the EU.

EU importers require UK suppliers to provide emissions data to support their CBAM reporting obligations.

From 1 January 2026, the regulation entered its definitive regime: goods in scope will need to be reported, and carbon pricing will apply. While the legal reporting obligation sits with EU importers, non-EU suppliers, including UK exporters, have a commercial obligation to provide accurate emissions and production data.
Overview
This practical half-day advanced masterclass explains:

How the EU CBAM framework operates

The sectors currently within scope

How businesses can assess their exposure

How businesses can support their EU customers

Participants will gain a clear understanding of the information required for CBAM reporting and the practical steps organisations should take to respond confidently to CBAM-related requests.

The session will also provide an overview of the proposed UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (UK CBAM) and what businesses trading across both jurisdictions may need to consider in the coming years.

This advanced masterclass is ideal for organisations involved in supplying goods to EU importers, including:

Manufacturers and suppliers exporting to the EU

Export managers and international trade teams

Supply chain, procurement and sourcing managers

Customs brokers and intermediaries

Trade compliance managers

Sustainability and environmental officers

Business owners responsible for international trade
Outcome
By the end of this advanced masterclass, participants will be able to Understand how EU CBAM operates

Identify whether products fall within CBAM scope

Understand the emissions and production data required for CBAM reporting

Respond compliantly to CBAM information requests from EU customers

Understand the direction of the proposed UK CBAM
