Description

Held in partnership with the University of Nottingham’s Energy Institute the 2024 Midlands Energy Summit will explore how businesses, academia and policy makers can come together to ensure that clean growth underpins our future economic landscape.

Identified in the Chamber’s “A Manifesto for Growth 2024” as “The Big Opportunity” as to how we develop the future of energy production, storage and provision in the East Midlands, the Summit will explore the strengths of region and the role of regional businesses in this space.

The Midlands has all the components to lead the development of future energy provision, storage and distribution, with cutting edge developments in energy creation through Fission, Fusion and Hydrogen. We are home to businesses operating at the cutting-edge of the practical application and global roll out of future energy technologies, as well as Universities, who are at the global center of developing expertise in the commercial application of nuclear and hydrogen technologies.

Overview

On the day there will be a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions – the full agenda to be announced in due course.
