The retrofit and energy efficiency sector is evolving rapidly, creating new challenges and opportunities for businesses, employers and training providers. This forum brings together organisations from across the East Midlands to share insight, identify skills gaps, explore new technologies and address the challenges holding the sector back.

The forum is a space for industry voices to be heard — connecting businesses with councils, colleges, universities and training providers to help shape the skills, knowledge and opportunities needed for a strong, future-ready retrofit workforce.

Led by Bolsover District Council, the forum provides a platform to connect, collaborate and help shape the future of retrofit across the region.

- Welcome to the College - Carl Ara, Assistant Principal of Campus and Robert Moore our Head of Construction, Nottingham College

- Investing in Green Skills and Retrofit - Jane Blagg, Commercial Development Manager and Maxine Blake, Head of Employer Engagement, Nottingham College – overview of the of the College’s investment the college has implemented for Green Skills and Retrofit, the types of courses we are running, and we will focus in on the key challenges for colleges

- Retrofit 2031 - Navigating the decision maze - Lee Marshall, Managing Director, Viridis
Transforming compliance targets into practical actions, covering an overview and clarity on the key milestones facing business leading up to 2031
Plus 3 persona examples - navigate three different routes through the maze:
• Residential landlord
• Commercial
• Estates: education, medical, etc
