Businesses have always provided the heartbeat for communities in the East Midlands, wherever they are based.
These businesses have a vested interest in each other’s success and in providing the mechanisms to enable this to happen. The voice of business must be a central driver of local decision-making and campaigning, influenced by the needs of these businesses, plays a big role in achieving this.
With more than 4,300 members, the Chamber is the leading voice of local business in the East Midlands, representing the views of its members and the wider business community on local, regional, national and international issues.
As such, its lobbying and campaigning activity is of paramount importance and the Chamber runs a number of distinct policy campaigns throughout the year. Through a series of events, briefing papers and reports, it seeks to influence change and highlight the key issues faced by members.
