Description

Our 2024 CSR Summit will be delivered under our #EMComingtogether campaign, which aims to help strengthen the relationship between local commerce and our communities.

Sitting under two of the Chamber’s Business Plan Goals to: Be the architect of change for the local business community; and to Be the exemplar and champion responsible business across the East Midlands, the 2024 Summit will be a celebratory event bringing together charities with the wider business community.

Overview

On the day we will hear from exemplar, motivational, speakers who will detail how their CSR strategies have generated a range of business benefits for their organisation and how they have built sustainable and impactful relationships with charities and community organisations.

There will also be a range of regional charities exhibiting on the day to help delegates to explore the wide and varied range of support they can provide, to help with your own CSR journey.

AGENDA:

– Welcome to the Summit – Dr Nicola Lynch Head of Business School, University of Derby

– The role of Community Foundations – Rachael Grime, Chief Executive, Foundation Derbyshire.

– CSR in the East Midlands – Barbara Tomasella, University of Derby, Elaine Conway, Loughborough University

– Business Case Studies from Futures Housing and Ideagen, detailing their approach to CSR, from how and why the organisation places such importance on CSR, the impact that it can have and how you measure this, through to the individual’s own involvement, development and purpose.
