Business Advice and Support Supporting Growth

Updated Brexit Support

Following the backing of Boris Johnson's Withdrawal Bill in December, the UK is set to leave the EU on 31 January.

We have put together a package of Brexit support focusing on helping businesses so that they are prepared for the changes, challenges and opportunities that Brexit will create.

Listed below is regularly updated information, tools, and advice for you to consider depending on your business needs and requirements.

BCC - No-Deal Brexit Guides

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) has compiled three guides to help businesses understand the changes to Rules of Origiin, Tariffs and Customs Declarations in the event of a no-deal Brexit. We do not want to see a messy exit from the EU, but believe businesses should prepare for all scenarios. The guides help you understand what these changes are, how they apply to you and what might be different.

Brexit Checklist - updated December 2019

The BCC has updated their Brexit Checklist for business, to help prepare for the coming months.

This checklist has been prepared in response to research on business preparation, and in response to member queries and the information available from the Government. These are steps that all businesses of all sizes can take now to start planning ahead. You can download the Checklist here.

Brexit Readiness Events

The Chamber has concluded a series of more than 20 Brexit and Business Readiness sessions in the run up to the previous 31 October date for the UK to leave the EU; focused on some of the key concerns in relation to how to respond to Brexit and what the potential implications of a no-deal scenario may be.

Any future sessions will be announced here and via the News and Training sections.

Training courses relating to Brexit

We run a variety of trianing courses throughout the year to help businesses stay up to date with the latest legislation and issues which may affect them. These courses will help businesses to manage the upcoming changes and help them to prepare for any legislation change.

Upcoming, new courses in 2020 will appear here and on the Training and Events pages.
